Codsall Christmas Fair

Once again the Twinning stall sold out of all food items on Friday evening – even though we were allocated a more isolated position this year!

Many thanks to all who provided biscuits, cakes, jams, pickles etc. and obviously to those hardy individuals who staffed our stall in the very cold weather.

We are holding a Musical Evening at Rowanshiel  from 7-30pm on Friday, 13th October.

Tickets cost just £2.50 for this very enjoyable event. Please let Vance know if you are coming and bring your own drinks.

If you can do a ‘turn’, then please do so – but this is not essential, as long as you join in with the sing-a-long!

Quiz

We shall be staging our Quiz at the Codsall Middle School starting at 19-30 on the 22nd September.

11 teams entered this Competition.

The team including Jonathan and Roger Marsh and Martin Dingle were able to pull away from the others to win easily in the end!

Boules Tournament and BBQ

The annual Boules Tournament will take place on Sunday, 16th July at Rowanshiel from 12-00.

This as a Members only event and tickets cost £2-50.

Please bring your own drink as well as food for the BBQ

12 teams competed this year and the well-deserved winners were Pattie and Brian.

Thanks to everyone who attended to make this an enjoyable afternoon.

Codsall Summer Fair

The Twinning Association were represented at the Codsall Summer Fair held last Sunday.

This was a very well attended and successful event and I’m delighted to report that we were able to sell all our produce. Particular thanks must go to Trevor who started at 09-30 setting up the gazebo and was there at 16-30 to pack away.

We were also pleased that a young apprentice crêpe chef (Sean Spinks) gained some useful experience during the afternoon. I’m convinced that in 3 or 4 years time, with hard work and encouragement, he will be able to produce pancakes of the standard expected of our organisation.

Well done to everyone who assisted on the day!
